Flowers that still know the field
We buy limited stems from farms we visit — never flown halfway around the world for the sake of a catalogue photo. Each morning the workbench holds only what the week can honestly spare: garden roses one day, grasses and late dahlias the next.
Atelier Safran sits on Rue de la Monnaie as a street-level studio. You can see the season through the glass before you step inside. Bouquets leave in small daily batches, finished with kraft paper and, when you ask, a handwritten note on recycled card.
Saturday afternoons we open the tables for floral ateliers — scissors, conditioning, a calm spiral hand-tie. Cargo bikes carry orders through Lille centre when the weather allows, so the stems travel gently and the streets stay quieter.
